I was running along the old track, the one that no one used anymore. Only one thought was going through my head: escape. I stopped, out of breath. “They won’t find me here, no one ever uses this track anymore” I said to myself. Then a steely voice behind me said “That's why it makes a perfect place to…” I cut him off by screaming and running, because i recognised that voice, he was the voice of my grandfather, he had gone completely crazy… suddenly i saw what he meant, about this being a perfect place… my grandfather, a murderer.

Elly had simply been walking along dirt pathway the day when she heard rustling,at first she thought it was loud for a rabbit, and then she saw it was a gnome and the gnome saw her and was enraged that she had seen him and he screamed a curse that sent her flying into a pond and her gumboots where  the only thing that one could see.Elly quickly picked herself up. She was covered from head to toe in pondweed! Elly was very surprised at what had happened when she explained it to her teacher no-one believed her.

Jay was born blind. He normally was either walking through the forest or reading alone. Fallen leaves crunched under his feet, he was following a feather in his memory. Jay had been seeing strange things in his mind, dead people, walking about as if nothing had happened to them. He was walking through the woods when he felt the ground collapse around him. He felt the hated crawl of water on his skin. He didn't know which way was up, the only part of him that was not in the water was his lower legs. “Help...”

A pair of large boots have been found in some shallow ponds, along with jeans stuck glued to the them. A witness, Chloe Furnham says she saw a child with no pants on, just underwear, and that they kid looked agender. We found out about the child’s parents, saying, “Ari is ALWAYS getting into trouble. Yesterday they tore up a book they received and made origami!” Afterwards, we talked to Ari, and they said, “I saw a little creature, wriggling towards me, so a caught in with my pants and boots. Although I do not recall them being glued together.”

Today on the Wellingtonian News, we have a Girl who found out something mysterious: This is the story of  an eleven year old Girl, who got swallowed up by a puddle and returned unharmed: “I walked, then stumbled. I had stepped into a puddle. The soil under me was dissolving, pulling and tugging me underground. Then, for a second I passed out. I woke up and saw myself as a ghostly fish thingy. I just couldn’t describe it. Then I saw a creepy starfish, also ghostly. He came towards me and said: “Your secrets are awaiting you… follow me...”.”

One day I was walking back home along the forest trail. It had been a long school day and I was very tired. Next to me I saw a pond. It looked very dirty and there were lots of Autumn leaves inside it. Suddenly, three boys walked up to me. My heart skipped a beat. The school bullies!. I stood there, completely frozen. I felt as cold as ice. All of a sudden, one of the bullies came right over to me. With a strong shove, the bully made me fall straight into the murky, green water of the pond.

My Friend by Lukas

I've been friends with him for 3 years. I play with him whenever I want. It bounces, jumps, rolls away from me but I always catch up to it.

We dribble, jumps high. Sometimes it hides from me but I always find it. Once I kicked it so high that it went over the fence and I had to find it.

It is round, white and made of leather. I can kick him powerfully. When I go to bed I know when I wake up it will be waiting for me  under the bed and we will both run to the school.

My most treasured item is medium size. It is round and it does not stretch. It does not open; it bounces.

You can throw it to someone and you can shoot it through hoops. You can do lots of fun things with it.

I got it from…                    wait a minute, let me rephrase that. My MUM got it for me when she went to Brisbane, Australia. It is coloured yellow, purple, black and white. It says: Lightning Sunshine Coast. If you know what that is, then you will understand me.

I play with it most days when it is sunny!

The most treasured item I have is a large, grey animal that has ears so big they can stretch from New Zealand to England!

Ok maybe not that big, but they are pretty huge.

I found the gigantic animal whilst I was exploring deep in the Amazon forest. I was minding my own beeswax when a huge grey thing shot out of a bush and blow a huge brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It was so… AWESOME!

To tell you the truth, I got it for my birthday when I turned four…

Anyway I really do love my lovely friend. She is so precious...
